The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking a creative/energetic individual to fill the position of Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation.

            This is a full-time hourly position with excellent health insurance and retirement benefits. Annual salary begins at $32,500, not including occasional overtime pay and fringe benefits. The majority of hours will take place weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., though night, weekend, overtime, and holiday work is expected.

            Preferred candidates should possess a four year degree, have above average writing and multimedia skills, as well as excellent customer service abilities. He/she must be able to perform seasonal maintenance work at Town recreation facilities as well as assist with snow removal.

            The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative/clerical, manual and recreational work in planning and implementing a year-round, town-wide Parks and Recreation program.
