Farmington Fire Rescue

Full-time Firefighter

The Town of Farmington is accepting applications for the position of full-time Utility Firefighter.  Applicants need to be highly motivated and able to work within a team environment. This position involves driving/operating apparatus for emergency response and mitigation of fire, rescue, haz-mat, and emergency medical incidents. Additional duties will involve fire prevention, education, and public relations activities as well as maintenance of department equipment and buildings. This position will work 48 hours per week consisting of two 24-hour shifts per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate or GED, Valid Driver’s License, Structural Firefighter/Firefighter 1, EVOC.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Firefighter 2, EMT-Basic, Previous Training and experience in firefighting, rescue, and emergency Medical Services.
