Town Farmington

Firefighter – Full Time

The Town of Farmington is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Firefighter.  Applicants need to be highly motivated and able to work within a team environment.  This position involves driving/operating apparatus for emergency response and mitigation of fire, rescue, haz-mat, and emergency medical incidents.  Additional duties will involve fire prevention, education, and public relations activities as well as maintenance of department equipment and buildings.  This position will work a forty two (42) hour work week, rotating 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 12 hour day shifts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  High School graduate or GED, Valid Driver’s License, Firefighter 1.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  Firefighter 2, EMT-B license, Previous Training/Experience in firefighting.
