Everyone has the right to live a life free from harassment and abuse. It is your right to get protection and utilize area resources. - Safe Voices- A non-profit organization working to end domestic violence. An advocate can assist with emergency shelter, transitional services, individual and court advocacy as well as safety planning and other referrals. - Franklin County District Attorney’s Office maintains a victim assistance program. A victim advocate can assist with information about the court process, victim’s rights, victim compensation, support during preparation for trail and more. Call (207)778-5890 for more information.
- Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services (SAPARS): Works to prevent and eliminate sexual violence and promote healing and empowerment for people of all genders and ages who are affected by rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, stalking and sexual harassment.
