Letters of Awards 2011

Employee of the Year 2011

January 27, 2011

Bonnie Pomeroy:

It is with great pleasure to award you the distinction as the 2010 Employee of the Year for the Farmington Police Department. This annual award is given to any full-time employee who stands well above other employees in the performance of their job and who contributes immensely to the mission of the Farmington Police Department.

During this last year, you took on several additional responsibilities in addition to your regular duties. These included managing several grants and documenting activities and training related to Highway Safety. This documentation was in reference to the Maine Law Enforcement Challenge that the Farmington Police Department has participated in for the last several years.

Due to your diligence and professionalism the Farmington Police Department was awarded money and equipment from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety. This money and equipment was used to combat drunken driving and support our efforts to enforcement traffic violations, and thereby reduce traffic crashes.

In addition you have been instrumental as the agency representative for the "Relay for Life". Your caring and selfless attitude has inspired all of us to compete and raise money to fight for a cure against cancer.

More importantly, your positive attitude when dealing with the public and co-workers, sometimes in various stages of crisis is infectious and does not go unnoticed.

For the reasons mentioned above, you have stood out and are the Farmington Police Department's "2010 Employee of the Year".

Once again, congratulations for a job well done.

Sincerely,

Jack D. Peck, Jr.
Chief of Police
