School Resource Officer Matthew Brann
Matt grew up in China, Maine where he attended China Elementary School and high school at Erskine Academy, graduating in 2001. He then attended Southern Maine Community College graduating with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice in 2004. Matt began his law enforcement career at Farmington Police Department in December of 2004 and graduated from the 9th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program in December of 2005. He left Farmington Police Department in November of 2009 for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. During his time with the Sheriff's Office, he was promoted to Corporal in 2015 and then Sergeant in 2016 in the patrol division. Matt returned to Farmington Police Department in July of 2021 as the School Resource Officer for Mount Blue Regional School District. Some of Matt's career training highlights are Police Training Officer, Forensic Mapper, Breath Testing Device Instructor and Crisis Intervention Team Training. Matt is married and has three children and enjoys spending time with his family during his off time.
